Founder and CEO, medical research scientist, Amina
For Amina Aden, skincare has always been personal.
As a medical research scientist and passionate skin health advocate, Amina has spent years working in pharmaceutical science, deeply understanding how the skin functions at a cellular level. But despite her expertise, she found herself facing the same challenge many women of colour do: hyperpigmentation and dark marks that wouldn’t shift, and a lack of effective, affordable skincare designed for melanin-rich skin.
Unable to find effective, affordable skincare for hyperpigmentation that served her skin tone, Amina decided to create what she could not find. MelaVie was born from this need for advanced skincare for dark skin, backed by science and created with care.
